Classroom Visits
UFPA brings artists into the classroom setting to conduct workshops, talk about their art, and answer students’ questions. Available to students of all ages, UFPA can tailor the experience to best fit your students’ learning goals and experience.
School-day Performances
Through grant and private funding support, University of Florida Performing Arts provides free School-Day Performance opportunities to K-12 students at the Phillips Center. UFPA covers the artist fees, facility fees, and school bus costs associated with these opportunities, which means there is no charge to the student or school.
In these hour-long performances, many students experience the live performing arts in a professional hall for the first time. Artists presented in these performances vary in style, cultural background, and art form to supplement the arts education in the public school system.
For more information about School-Day Performances or to be included on the UFPA School-Day Performances email list, please contact Derek Wohlust at 352.273.2464 or email dwohlust@performingarts.ufl.edu.
