Discovering new ways to explore the live performing arts
Annually, over 3,000 patrons take advantage of free pre- and post-performance discussions. Typically held for most UFPA-presented performances, attendees have the opportunity to learn more about the artists, composers, pieces and influences on the works. Discussions are led by the artists themselves, tour members, directors, choreographers, UF faculty, community members and UFPA staff. Past speakers include:

- Pilobolus Dance Company
- The Kingston Trio
- Emanuel Ax
- Yo-Yo Ma
- Twyla Tharp
Pre-performance discussions begin at 6:45 p.m. for 7:30 p.m. performances. For matinee (2 p.m. or 5 p.m.) performances, the pre-performance discussions typically begin one hour prior to the performance. Occasionally, discussions are held after the show instead of before the show; post-performance discussions immediately follow performances in the theatre.
