A childhood classic brought to life! Innovative black light staging and fanciful puppetry bring the magic of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and other Eric Carle favorites to the stage in a fresh, new way.

Children will delight in following Carle’s famous caterpillar on his transformative journey into becoming a butterfly, complete with bright scenery and vibrant foods. This whimsical, colorful feast for the imagination will satisfy children of all ages!

Family Friendly Activities Surrounding The Very Hungry Caterpillar

The Cultural Plaza is our area of campus that houses the Harn Museum of Art, the Florida Museum of Natural History and the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Spend your day at the Cultural Plaza before, during and after the show!

Please note the family friendly activities happening around the Cultural Plaza throughout the day:

The Florida Museum (Free): Open 10am to 5pm |

The Harn (Free): Open 10am to 5pm |

PDQ’s food truck will be parked in front of the Phillips Center and open for business from 11am to 2pm. While we will not have seating available inside the Phillips Center for eating, we invite you to picnic on the lawn or utilize one of the many comfortable outside areas in the Cultural Plaza to feed your hungry little caterpillars before the show!

NATL Trails: Take a walk through the trails with your family. The entrance to the NATL trails is located at the boardwalk in between the Phillips Center and the Florida Museum of Natural History. |
