Last week, I had the privilege of attending Tango Buenos Aires with Suzy, another team member from the Student Marketing Team. During the pre-performance discussion, there were many questions asked about their dancing techniques and the music from the show, but what got the most attention was the last question, asking the steps of the dance. It made me want to start dancing and learning right there!
During the show, all I could think was that this was the most sensuous dance I had ever witnessed and how much fun it would be to master it. After the show, I got to meet with the artists and learned about their US tour and heard their amazing stories from their other tours around the world.
The performance was outstanding and made everyone in the audience come out wanting to learn how to tango. Coming out of the performance, there were actually people who came out with their music - a Gainesville tango group - and started practicing their moves outside the Phillips Center.
With a total attendance of 1,060 the show was a hit!
