A rising star of the French cello, twenty-three-year-old Edgar Moreau has been consistently captivating audiences with his effortless virtuosity and dynamic performances.
In frequent demand as a chamber musician, he has worked with the Talich, Prazak, Modigliani, and Ebène Quartets, as well as pianists Nicholas Angelich and Jean-Frederic Neuburger. Moreau was awarded six concert prizes at the YCA Auditions and is a recipient of the Florence Gould Foundation Fellowship of YCA.
Having studied with Philippe Muller at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, Edgar currently works with Frans Helmerson at the Kronberg Academy. His first CD, Play, a collection of short pieces, is available on the Warner Classics label.
