After an exciting debut at the Phillips Center in 2005 and a sold-out performance in 2006, the Soweto Gospel Choir returns to their “U.S. home” once again. The ensemble’s mix of tribal, traditional and popular African gospel makes for a moving, awe-inspiring and unforgettable evening for the entire family.

In 1995 Justus Frantz founded a unique orchestra: the Philharmonia of the Nations. He formed a multicultural philharmonic orchestra out of highly talented young musicians from over 40 countries and five continents.
Musicians from all over the world come together in this unique orchestra. There are Serbs and Slovenians, Syrians and Israelis, Chinese, French, Russians and Italians making music as friends.
In 1998 the orchestra was invited by Kofi Annan, then UN‘s General Secretary, to play on “Day of the United Nations” at United Nation‘s General Assembly in New York.
Two days after September 11th, the orchestra gave a concert in for the tragedy’s victims, in the church of St. Michael in Hamburg.

One of the most sought-after pianists of his generation, Jon Nakamatsu is a frequent concerto soloist, chamber musician, recording artist and solo recitalist throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.Initially brought to global attention in 1997 by being named Gold Medalist of the Tenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Jon Nakamatsu subsequently appeared as soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl and the Boston Pops at Tanglewood.
Jon Nakamatsu has studied privately with Marina Derryberry since the age of six, has worked with Karl Ulrich Schnabel, and studied composition and orchestration with Dr. Leonard Stein of the Schoenberg Institute at the University of Southern California.
