One Night of Queen formed in 2000 after Gary Mullen won ITV’s Stars in Their Eyes grand finale with a record of 864,838 votes, more than double the runner up and the most votes ever received on the show.
Gary’s wife and mother secretly sent away an application to Stars in their Eyes, a former British televised talent show.
Gary went on win the 2000 season of Stars In Their Eyes as Freddie Mercury, earning the most votes ever cast for an artist in the finale program.
Gary Mullen and his live band The Works have gained recognition in New Zealand, Germany, Holland, the U.K. and now the U.S. and are going from strength to strength. Gary says “I am so grateful to all the people that have helped us to get where we are today and long may it continue.”
