Did you know…

Craig Martin’s Classic Albums Live brings together highly accomplished musicians to faithfully recreate some of your favorite albums of all-time. The performers do not dress up or act the part of the featured artists. Like a recital, the show is presented just as a symphony orchestra would perform the works of Mozart. The result is amazing.
The Wall is a rock opera centered around the character “Pink,” based on Waters’ personal life struggles, which factored into Pink’s mental isolation from society, figuratively referred to as “The Wall.”
Incredibly successful upon its release, The Wall jumped to #1 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S. in its fourth week. Its worldwide sales are estimated at 15 million copies, and in the U.S. it has achieved platinum 23 times and is Pink Floyd’s second best-selling album in the U.S. after The Dark Side of the Moon.
In 2003 Rolling Stone listed The Wall as #87 in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
A film version of The Wall was released in 1982 entitled Pink Floyd The Wall, directed by Alan Parker and starring Bob Geldof.

Wall to Wall entertainment, from the first set to the encore we were pleasantly pleased with the quality and originality of the music. A must see for Pink Floyd lovers, it’s not easy to replace a Moog with instuments but Classic Albums Live pulls it off.

As usual, we enjoyed an evening listening to Classic Album Live band. Wish they would have done a little more Pink Floyd encore!! Too bad the crowd wasn’t larger…it was a good evening of music.

The musicians were excellent. The singers awesome. The Phillips Center is the perfect venue plus we had seventh row center for great seating. We are looking forward to Queen in March.
Also enjoyed the informative talk given before the show. I always wondered how the band came up with it’s name.
