It was a very good concert. The Bruckner piece was 70 minutes long–the longest I ever experienced. I enjoyed it though; it was full of many surprises and constant changes, which made it interesting to hear.

We liked the performance very much.
We would much prefer the old time of 4 pm. The 2 o’clock time interrupts Sunday’s activities. We loved being able to join friends for dinner after the performances at the 4 pm time; now that’s not practical.
You didn’t send me a comment card for the chamber players of last week.
They too were excellent. However, as we were seated on the west side of the auditorium, the sun was in our eyes almost the entire time. I and others we’ve talked to, had to hold up programs to block the sun from our eyes. Another reason for a later start time.
Also, the outside noise at the auditorium may be less at a later hour. It was annoying to hear the helicopters. I realize this may be a one time problem, but it seems less likely to occur in late afternoon.

Very good and proper German orchestra. No foot tapping on stage, bolt upright, and very well practiced. All kidding aside, this was a wonderful performance. The music presentation was precise and warm. That the audience was less the size it should have been was a disappointment to me, and an embarassment to the UF fans of classical music. There was the opening basketball game scheduled the same day, but really - The Bruckner Orchestra vs. Stetson? I can see the “Hatters” play anytime.

My wife and I were stunned by yesterday’s outstanding performance. The Mozart was just right with a transparency that is rarely obtained.
Although we did not know the Bruckner previously, we are still hearing that persistent solo horn in our heads today. What an exciting and exhilarting experience!
We will look forward to hearing that orchestra and conductor again.

The Mozart “LINZ” symphony was beautifully performed, and I enjoyed it. The huge orchestra for the Bruckner symphony was too loud for this auditorium, even in the back. Did you install new acoustic devices with this big plastic box that they were playing in?
Maybe there are size limitations.

There are very few orchestral performances, in my entire lifetime, that I have enjoyed as much as this, particular performance. The conductor’s communication with his performers was flawless. Both selections, especially the Bruckner, were magnificent.
