One of the best shows ever! Loved the music, dancing, and singing, a wonderful family evening. Hope to see Riverdance again.

  2. Traveler Wendell says:

Riverdance ROCKS! I enjoyed the show so much. If I had one negative it would be the handling of the late arrivals. When they were brought in it completely disrupted the show for people in our section. I go out of my way to make sure I get to shows early so that I can be seated and ready for the show to begin. Especially with a show like Riverdance, the beginning is important to get you into the mood and spirit of the rest of the show. The scheduled start time was 7:30, the show did not start until almost 8:00, if you can’t make it to the show within a half hour of its starting time then you should have to wait until intermission. This isn’t a seven dollar movie theatre ticket, we paid a fair amount to see this show. But as I said before, the actual show was excellent.

  3. Ernest Hollingsworth says:

The performance of Riverdance Was GREAT. I and one of my Brother’s whole family of 12 attended on Monday Jan 26 and we all really enjoyed it. Was the second time I saw it here.

  4. Lori M says:

I truly enjoyed the show, the performance was spectacular. I was a bit disturbed by late arrivals and how they all came in in a rush with ushers helping them to their seats the noise level rose to become a major distraction. I understand holding the late arrivals until the end of that scene/section, but there should be a mechanism in place to QUIETLY seat them. Thank you for allowing this comment section.

  5. Stan Land says:

Enjoyed the Riverdance performers very much! What we never enjoy at the Phillips Center, is the traffic nightmare that exists getting into and out of the Center. You badly need some officers with ACTUAL knowledge of how to efficiently move traffic! And of course, having actually built the Center with enough parking would also have helped. It makes us think twice about going each time we consider it. At every performance, huge numbers of people are forced to walk in late, distracting everyone, because of the hassles of getting in there and finding a place to park.

  6. Patty Hall says:

    Thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

  7. Karelisa Hartigan says:

    This was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!
Such precision footwork was amazing. We had not seen the show before; we are So Glad we saw it this time.

  8. Jim and Terry Rocca says:

Spectacular! Outstanding production, outstanding musicians, outstanding vocalists, and outstanding dancers. Just wishing we could see it again….

  9. Geoff Pietsch says:

Excellent show!!! Since this was their Farewell, please at least schedule more of similar performances - like the Moyseyev Dancers and other folk dance companies.

Disappointment: We were in the balcony and near the end a considerable number of people started leaving. It seemed so RUDE! Perhaps a few, with real difficulty moving, had an excuse. For the rest? I guess the 20+ minute wait that we experienced to even begin moving from our parking spot on the 3rd level was something they weren’t willing to tolerate. So… is there any way to move the cars out a little faster? (It may have been because of the basketball game’s ending coinciding that stalled traffic so long.)

  10. Susan Kirkland says:

We loved the Riverdance performance, however, we observed someone coming in across from us and sitting on the aisle seat with a small dog. Since when are dogs allowed in a theater? At another time during the performance (at least 15 minutes into it), there were so many people allowed in in such large numbers that it was extremely disturbing to the event. I wish the ushers could have more control over how many and how loud people are allowed to be when entering late, much less the dog showing up!

  11. Ken Chapin says:

Thank you for asking. The performance was absolutely excellent. I brought a guest who had never seen a Riverdance production and was very much impressed. We bought the DVD and have played it twice since coming home. Neighbors have come in to watch it. It’s a shame they will not be back after this tour to the US.

  12. Carolyn Rion says:

The performance was wonderful. They are amazing. Carolyn Rion

  13. Ruth Parker says:

Riverdance was absolutely wonderful A flawless outstanding performance. Only complaint is they let in late arrivals while the man was doing his solo on the bagpipe your ushers were as noisy as the patrons during his playing. Very disturbing as a lot of people were late we sat downstairs near the rear isle. Seats were great and had a wonderful view.

  14. Grzegorz Cieslewski says:

The performance was amazing!!!! I just wish that people would be more punctual and not come late.

  15. John & Jo Reid says:

    Folks:
We enjoyed very much the Riverdance performance.

  16. Allan Greenberg says:

    Excellent Performance!

  17. BUffy Sutherland says:

This was a spectacular show played to a full audience who enjoyed it enthusiastically from the first foot stomp to the last! I have never witnessed such great audience participation with the people on stage. Thank you so much for bringing this show to us. Keep up the good work.

  18. K. Quinn Leibfried says:

The entire experience of “Riverdance” was a STANDING OVATION.

  19. K. Quinn Leibfried says:

    The best musical ever!

  20. Peter Clark says:

RIVERDANCE was the most enjoyable performance I have seen since Phantom Of The Opera. It was so well done. The dancers, singers, and the band were supreme artists.

Thank you for bringing this production to Gainesville!

  21. Janice says:

This is the 2nd time I have seen Riverdance, both times where exciting. Well worth the price of a ticket!

  22. Gary Waller says:

My wife Debra and I enjoyed every minute!
That’s all there is to say.

  23. Alice-Marie Worthington says:

We were captivated by the ambiance of the total evening from the excellent reservation staff to the actual breath-taking performance! I have seen Riverdance on TV in Maine, in person in Massachusetts, Connecticut and now Florida…….SUPERB!!! Please don’t let this Celtic history end!

  24. Libbie Gerry says:

Very much enjoyed RIVERDANCE ! There was much more variety in the performance (than I was expecting) which was interesting and very entertaining. I’m sorry that they are doing their Farewell shows but perhaps they will be coming back in the future. So many talented people! Thank you for booking them.

  25. barbara conerty says:

Thoroughly enjoyed this performance! The fact that the perfomance had a story line to it made it more interesting. The whole performance was so diverse: singing, dancing, talented musicians, Moscow performers! Performers utilized the whole stage area. Wonderful!!!!

  26. Hazel Bryant says:

The tickets were a gift for my daughter and her husband, (we had seen the performance the last time it was in Gainesville) they throughly enjoyed this performance.

  27. pat williams says:

As always, a trip to the Phillips Center was a great treat, even for a big event such as this. Traffic control could have been better, though and parking was difficult. The only real problem I encountered was with the fact that on Row I, seats 20 and 22, there was only one way to exit, since one end of that row is closed off for special needs seating. When my friend became ill before the end of the performance we had to climb over all the other
patrons in that row, disturbing everyone. Can this be resolved, maybe reconfiguring that railing so there can be access to row I from each end?
Other than that, it was an excellent event and I will return as often as possible.

  28. Caryn says:

I took my nine-year-old daughter and she sat on the edge of her seat the entire show! It was a thrilling event and we’re so glad we went. It was worth every penny of the 75 bucks! I was especially happy that they took time to focus on the musicians who were especially great to watch. The dancers were, of course, phenomenal and we enjoyed every minute. We would definitely see this again if we had the opportunity!
