“The Landscape of Dance is revealed – and it is stunning.”

World premiere.  The landmark of Ellis Island becomes the inspiration for choreographer-in-residence Judy Skinner. Set to music by composer-in-residence Stella Sung, this touching ballet reaches far back into our history with evocative movement and expression. Gershwin’s songbook and pianist Kevin Sharpe set the mood for the jazzy moves of choreographer George Balanchine’s light-hearted ballet Who Cares.  Continuing the earthy quality of the evening, Artistic Director Kim Tuttle’s sensual masterpiece Bolero brings the night to a rousing finale.
