School-Day Performances

Through generous funding support, University of Florida Performing Arts has provided free school-day performance opportunities to K-12 students in Alachua and Marion counties at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

In these hour-long performances, many students experience the live performing arts in a professional hall for the first time. Artists presented in these performances vary in style, cultural background and art form to supplement the arts education in the public school system.

Through grant funding, there is NO CHARGE to the student or school for these performances, as University of Florida Performing Arts covers the artist fees, facility fees and school bus costs.

Past performances include: San Jose Taiko, Bobby McFerrin, Krasnoyarsk National Dance Company of Siberia, and Aquila Theatre Company.
